Ghana has one of the widest mental health treatment gaps in the world. Not because young people are not struggling — but because almost nobody is looking. Screening is rare, stigma is high, and the specialists who could help are concentrated in a few urban hospitals.

Snuggli Health exists to close the first half of that gap and to make the second half visible. We equip community mental health officers with culturally grounded tools to find young people who need care, and we give those young people support they can hold in their hand while they wait.
It comes from the nurse, the community officer, the teacher who notices first — so build for them.
Instruments written elsewhere miss what Ghanaians actually say. Build the assessment here.
If nobody checks whether it was completed, it did not happen.
We would rather tell you where our model breaks than pretend it does not.
Only a public system reaches everyone.
Snuggli Health was founded by Kwame Owusu Ansah. Our team brings together Ghanaian engineering, clinical practice, and community mental health fieldwork — guided by a clinical advisory group of Ghanaian psychiatrists and the 75+ volunteer community officers who ran the Ghana screenings.

Our clinical advisory group reviews every screening instrument, referral pathway, and safeguarding protocol. They are practising Ghanaian psychiatrists and lecturers — the people who make sure our tools meet the standard of care that already exists here.

Snuggli Health is organised as a mission-led organisation: our screening and youth-access programmes are philanthropically funded and free to the young people they serve, while our clinical tools are sustained through institutional deployments.
We are raising philanthropic support to run screening across three regions of Ghana.
