Clinical Safety
Seven ways to help. Built on one rule.
In our first field programme, community mental health officers screened 386 young people — one in three needed care they were not getting. There is a great deal more to do, and we are recruiting our first volunteer cohort of eight to ten people. Every role is built on one rule: no volunteer ever accesses a real young person's mental health data.
Each role states the honest time commitment, what you'll do, what you must never do, and what you gain. Tap a role to apply — the form takes about 15 minutes.
Field Screening Support
Help run screening days — devices, consent forms, and keeping the flow moving.
You will: Set up devices, walk young people through consent, and hand off anything that needs a clinician.
You won't: Conduct screenings yourself, interpret responses, or be left alone with young people.
You gain: Direct field experience, references, and a real view of how screening reaches young people.
AI Companion Tester
Stress-test our AI companion using invented scenarios and report where it breaks.
You will: Run invented scenarios through the Snuggli companion to find unhelpful, unsafe, or off-tone responses, and write up what you found.
You won't: Read real young people's conversations — only clinical staff do that.
You gain: Hands-on AI-safety testing experience and a say in how a youth-facing tool behaves.
Scenario & Instrument Contributor
Write culturally authentic Ghanaian scenarios and review screening language.
You will: Write realistic, culturally grounded scenarios and review instruments for the language Ghanaians actually use.
You won't: Approve instruments for clinical use — that is clinical staff's call.
You gain: Shape tools that fit the context, with named credit on contributions where earned.
Product Tester
Use the Snuggli app and Sentra like a real user and file clear bug reports.
You will: Find the rough edges across the apps and file bug reports we can act on.
You won't: Access real user data — testing uses test accounts only.
You gain: Real product-testing experience and the satisfaction of bugs you found getting fixed.
Social Media & Content
Plan and create content that tells our story honestly — evidence, gaps, and wins.
You will: Plan and create content that tells the field evidence and the honest gaps.
You won't: Respond to anyone in distress on public channels — that gets escalated to clinical staff immediately.
You gain: Build a public-facing portfolio on work that matters, with editorial support.
Research & Funding Assistant
Track funding opportunities, run desk research, and pull evidence for proposals.
You will: Track funding opportunities, run desk research, and help assemble evidence for proposals.
You won't: Make funding commitments or represent us to funders — that's staff.
You gain: Real insight into how a mission-led organisation fundraises and builds an evidence base.
Data & Reporting Assistant
Work with de-identified data to build charts and reports that show what's happening.
You will: Build charts and reports from de-identified data that show what's actually happening.
You won't: See identifiable young people's data — only de-identified aggregates, never individual records.
You gain: Data-for-impact experience and reports that genuinely inform decisions.
